DB-9 Female - RJ-12 Female Modular Adapter
This is often called a "Modular Adapter". It allows you to adapt serial and console port devices to use CAT-5, telephone or other 6 conductor wiring. Adapters like this are often used to connect to serial consoles on routers, serial printer ports, and point of sale systems. You can make custom serial cables in a matter of minutes using these adapters.
This adapter requires assembly according to the pin configuration of your device. It is simple to put together with color-coded wires and pins that simply press into the connector housing. Includes thumbscrews. The jack will accept RJ-45, RJ-12, or RJ-11 plugs.
